How does this trade copy system work?

This trade copy system works with Two EAs - one on the sender side and one on the copier side and a trade copy server sitting in between listening to both the sides. It uses regular TCP protocol (regular communication over the Internet) and does not require any special software to be installed on either side. The only requirement is that the Sender EA must run on a server that has static IP address (typically a Windows Forex VPS services provider has this). Both EAs must run on Windows based machines. The EAs are built to communicate via a fast and reliable TCP tunnel. Sender EA sends the trade operations continuously through this tunnel and any copier that is authenticated via the trade copy server, can listen in to this tunnel and accept the trade signals. What are the input parameters on trade copy EA and what is the purpose of each?

As you know there are two EAs - one for the sender to send trade information to the copy server and one is on the reciever side to receive this information on the slave side. We will review the input parameters available on the receiver EA here. Following image shows the input parameters screen for the MT4 EA on the receiver side (this applies to V4 of the EA):

I am getting "Could not connect to server. Aborting ..." error - why?

There can be few reasons for this error but most common is if you haven't added the URL to talk to the copy server to the list of allowed URLs. To fix this, you need to add the URL given in the input parameters screen to the list of allowed URLs in MT4. Following video explains how to do this:

How much will this system cost you?

If you decide to use the system as-is and use our copy server, you can use the system for free. EAs are available for immediate download once you create a free account. However, this is a shared copy server so the performance will depend on the load on the server and how many masters and slaves are connected. We will be restricting the number of copiers on this server soon so you will be able to add only upto a certain number of copiers as the load grows (for now there are no restrictions). If you like this service and want to use it without any restrictions, we will need you to rent your own copy server from us. We can setup and maintain your own copy servers starting at $15/month (depending on the configuration you choose). We can also customize the EAs to fit your needs at that point. Please contact us and we will provide custom pricing for the same. As long as you use common copy server, the service is free (with retrictions).
